TriPeaks is the quick, cheerful one. Three peaks of cards, one waste pile and one simple rule: play a card one higher or lower. Long runs of cards in a row are what make it so satisfying.
How to play
- The table. 28 cards sit in three overlapping peaks. Only the bottom row starts face up. A card turns over as soon as nothing covers it.
- One up or one down. Tap any uncovered card that is one rank higher or lower than the waste card at the bottom. Suit doesn't matter. You can also drag it across.
- Kings and Aces connect. A King can go on an Ace and an Ace on a King, so a run can keep going round the corner.
- Stuck? Tap the stock to turn a new waste card. The stock goes through once.
- The goal is to clear all three peaks.
Tips
- Look before you tap. If both a 7 and a 9 could go on an 8, pick the one that lets the run carry on.
- Work from the bottom. Cards in the lower rows uncover the ones above them, which gives you more choices.
- Save the stock. Every card you turn ends your run, so use the table first.
- Watch the Best run counter. It shows your longest chain of plays in this game without touching the stock.
Questions people ask
- Is TriPeaks the same as Golf?
- They're close relatives. Both have you play cards one rank up or down onto a waste pile. TriPeaks uses three overlapping peaks with hidden cards, and Kings and Aces connect. Golf uses seven open columns and doesn't wrap.
- Can you play an Ace on a King in TriPeaks?
- Yes. In this version the ranks wrap, so an Ace can go on a King and a King on an Ace.
- How many times can I go through the stock?
- Once. When the stock runs out, the game ends if no card on the peaks can be played.
- Is TriPeaks in Microsoft Solitaire Collection?
- Yes, it's one of the games in Microsoft's collection. This version runs free in your browser with nothing to install.
