Play Aces Up online
Aces Up is a quick game with a simple goal: throw out every card except the four Aces. Deal four at a time and look for two cards of the same suit.
How to play
- Four columns. Tap the stock to deal one card onto each column.
- Throw out the lower card. When two top cards share a suit, the lower one can go. Aces are high, so they never go. Tap a card to throw it out.
- Empty columns. Move any top card into an empty column to uncover the card beneath it.
- Deal again when you run out of moves. You can deal whenever you like.
- The goal is to finish with only the four Aces on the table.
Tips
- Put an Ace in an empty column. Aces never leave, so a column holding just an Ace is out of the way for good.
- Use spaces to dig. Move a card into an empty column when the card under it can then be thrown out.
- Clear everything before you deal. Each deal covers all four columns.
Questions people ask
- Can every game of Aces Up be won?
- No. Only some deals can be won, so it's normal to lose more than you win.
- Do Aces count high or low?
- High. An Ace can throw out any other card of its suit and is never thrown out itself.
- Does Aces Up have other names?
- Yes. It's also known as Idiot's Delight and Firing Squad.
