Play Eight Off online
Eight Off is a close cousin of FreeCell with twice the free cells. Every card is face up, but you build in suit and only Kings can start an empty column, so those eight cells fill up faster than you'd think.
How to play
- The deal. Eight columns of six cards, all face up. Four more cards start in the free cells, leaving four empty.
- Build down in suit. The 9 of clubs goes on the 10 of clubs.
- Free cells each hold one card. Use them to park cards while you dig.
- Moving runs. You can move an ordered same-suit run if you have enough empty cells: one more card than the number of empty cells.
- Empty columns only take a King, or a run that starts with a King.
- The goal is to build all four foundations up by suit, from Ace to King. When the columns are in order, the game finishes itself.
Tips
- Count your cells. Every card you park makes your next move smaller. Try to empty cells as fast as you fill them.
- Find the Aces first. Look where each one is buried and plan a route to it.
- Put Kings to work. A King in an empty column starts a run that can soak up a whole suit.
